836. ഉം അവ്യയം ഏകനാമത്തോടു ചേൎന്നാൽ “കൂട, കൂട വേ, തന്നേ“ മുതലായ അൎത്ഥങ്ങൾ ഉളവാം.
a.) ഉ-ം അവനും പോയി (=ഓരോരുത്തർ പോയതു കൂടാതെ he also is gone) കറ്റയും തലയിൽ വെച്ചു കളം ചെത്തരുതു (പഴ. with the sheaves already on the head) എനിക്കും അതു കൊള്ളാം (കേ. രാ. this suits me too, not merely to my enemy) ചിത്തകാലുഷ്യം ഇന്നും ഉണ്ടോ (കൈ. ന. does it still exist) അല്പവും=ഇത്തിരിപോലും 719, 2.
It is therefore used in comparison to make it striking.
ആകയാൽ താരതമ്യത്തിൽ അതിശയാൎത്ഥത്തോടു നില്പു ഇതിലും വലുതു (480, 3. even larger than that).
It prefers Negatives വിശേഷിച്ചു നിഷേധത്തിൽ:

It adverbializes socials like ഏ“ പോലെ സാഹിത്യങ്ങളെ അവ്യയീകരിക്കുന്നു (451. 453, 8).
